<li>Section Awards:  Here’s your chance to recognize your peers, colleagues, or students for their contribution to the field of Positive Psychology.  It’s easy –submit name(s) and contact information of the individual(s)being nominated to <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Ingrid Weigold</span></strong><strong>, Ph.D. (</strong><a href="mailto:weigold@uakron.edu">weigold@uakron.edu</a><strong>) </strong> and we’ll help with the nomination process. There are <em>two </em>annual awards – one for a student and one for a psychologist – and they carry a $200 cash prize along with a <em>free</em> online strengths development class from the Gallup Organization.  Don’t be shy and nominate yourself too. The name you submit may be the next PP award recipient!  All materials are due by February 28th! <li>2011 APA Convention: The APA Convention will be taking place from August 4<sup>th</sup> &#8211; 8<sup>th</sup> in Washington D.C. The Section on Positive Psychology has several events planned and our members are presenting a variety of posters and symposia. We hope to see all of you at the Section&#8217;s Social Gathering, Awards Ceremony, and Business Meeting on August 5th at 2:00 and at our section sponsored symposium entitled &#8220;State of the Art in Positive Psychology&#8221; on August 6th at 9:00.
